Sorry Folks but I am on a trip this week with Year 7 and 8.

You have all recievd the January 2006 paper last lesson, there are a few spare on the window ledge in AR106, and the mark schemes.  This must be fully attempted for monday period 1.  We will pick the 2 questions struggled with most, to work through as a class at the beginning of monday's lesson.

I do suggest looking up your standard deviation and conditional probability formulas first and having them handy.

PUBLIC SERVICES COVER WORK MR WILSON

Mr Wilson will be out of school for the week Monday 11th to Friday 15th February 2013.

Level 3 Year 12 Currently working on completing Unit 2 (Leadership & Teamwork). I have highlighted the priority areas for individual students to work on and complete during the week. Remember, we will be starting Unit 9 on Monday 25th February! If you are fortunate enough to have completed the whole unit your priority is to work on Mr Atmore's/Mr Toomey's/Ms Burke's work.
The Assignment Brief is located on the G Drive.

Level 3 Year 13 Currently beginning the assessment for Unit 28 (Human Resources). Again, like Year 12 I have highlighted individual targets to ACHIEVE. The Assignment Brief is on the G Drive.

Create revision notes on the following Specification references:
1. Explain, in terms of water potential, the movement of water between plant cells, & between plant cells & their environment.
2. Describe, with the aid of diagrams, the pathway by which water is transported from the root cortex to the air surrounding the leaves, with reference to the Casparian strip, apoplast pathway, symplast pathway, xylem & the stomata.
3. Explain the mechanism by which water is transported from the root cortex to the air surrounding the leaves, with reference to adhesion, cohesion & the transpiration stream.

Please bring these revision notes to Monday's lesson.

For homework:
1. Revise "Transpiration" & "Translocation", ensuring you're prepared to discuss these topics in class.
2. Complete at least 5 questions from the Revision Booklet (available in AR007 if you did not receive one on Monday) & bring this to Monday's lesson.
